Encouraging and training young people to become business owners.
Local business owners opened their doors and shared their knowledge of hat it takes to open a successful business. Our students visited with the entrepreneurs who provided lessons in the form of readings, games, role play and discussions.
PBIS was a two day, interactive workshop to combat bullying in schools. Students were trained on how to combat negative behaviors without resorting to a violent response. The older students were trained on the SAIL (Safetty0Attitude-Integrity-Leadersship): principles and were them tasked to teach these principles to the younger students.
A follow up was conducted to see how the students were utilizing these skills at school, at home, and in their community.
Our summer reading program provides challenges for our readers, to encourage reading comprehension, as well as, reading FUNdamentals.
Collaborated with other non-profits and distributed backpacks filled with school supplies, at a free community health fair.
